Surrounded by 120 hectares of vineyards, woodland and olive-groves, the Fattoria di Rignana is situated in the very heart of the Florentine Chianti district, within easy reach of all Tuscany’s tourist destinations. There is a fast, straightforward road from Florence to the Fattoria which, soon after leaving the Siena freeway, begins to wind through an ancient and fascinating land, where people have lived alongside nature for centuries in perfect harmony. The drive to the Fattoria di Rignana thus becomes a journey of discovery, where history and nature join together to offer one of the gentlest and most beautiful landscapes in Italy.

The historical centre of the farm dates back to the 11th century, when Rignana was a castle controlled by the Comune of Florence along the Sienese border. The main Villa which, in the 17th century, belonged to the noble Ricci family, whose aristocratic chapel and ornaments have been preserved to this day, has recently been carefully renovated by the owners, whilst fully respecting the original structure. Cosimo Gericke and Sveva Rocco di Torrepadula welcome their guests in a warm, friendly environment, where great attention is paid to even the smallest detail.
